Scoliosis Physical Therapy

Our scoliosis physical therapy program utilizes manual therapy techniques and scoliosis-specific exercises inspired by Pilates and Schroth. We will address tight spots and strength asymmetries to help you better support your spine. Your care will be tailored to keep you doing the activities you love.

  • Our goal is always to keep you doing the things you love with no pain and less chance of getting injured. With scoliosis, you always want to have a plan in place to prevent your curves from progressing and causing issues in other parts of your body like your hips and shoulders.

  • If you have a current injury, schedule a 55 minute scoliosis physical therapy evaluation to establish a treatment plan. This appointment is meant to be the start of a treatment plan.

  • This appointment will focus on postural assessment and spinal alignment. Treatment may include scoliosis-specific therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and postural retraining and education on practical strategies to enhance comfort and efficiency in daily activities, sports, and recreation.

  • We suggest having 10 appointments to establish a good foundation and progress your exercises to fit your recreational and life needs. However, if you would like more or less appointments, we can tailor a plan according to your time and financial budget.

  • We can’t speak to all the scoliosis care that is out there, but patients have shared things they haven’t enjoyed about their scoliosis treatment plan in the past including: a lack of hands-on therapy, overly restrictive guidelines, or treatment plans that don’t specifically address their sport, dance, or activity. We hope to fill this gap in care.
