Kasssina Kim-Hayes

Kassina graduated with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience with a biology emphasis from Macalester College. She then worked as a physical therapy aide prior to earning her Doctorate in physical therapy from UCSF/SFSU. She has six years of experience coaching recreational gymnastics and was involved in neuroscience research prior to pursuing her physical therapy degree.

Kassina grew up in the East Bay and started gymnastics at the age of three years old. She competed up to J.O. level 10 before injuries prevented her from completing her high school senior year of gymnastics. After uncovering the world of NAIGC she continued on to compete in college club gymnastics at University of Minnesota for 4 years while completing her undergraduate degree. Since college, she has found joy in dabbling in different dance styles, hiking, sewing and weightlifting.

She has a love for movement fostered by her many years of competitive gymnastics and understands the frustration of ongoing injuries affecting full participation in the things she loves.
