Claire Maurel, SPT

Claire Maurel is a Pilates Instructor at On the Move Physical Therapy & Pilates and recently graduated from UCSF/SFSU’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in June 2023.  During her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at Notre Dame de Namur University, she was the lead research assistant for the study “Reliability of the gymSAFE Movement Screen to Predict Health & Biomechanical Faults in Female Gymnasts” published in Orthopaedic Practice in July 2022. During this research study, she collaborated with Physical Therapists and the non-profit organization, gymSAFE, dedicated to improving the health of gymnasts. Claire has international gymnastics experience as she participated in gymnastics in France as a child. She is passionate about providing Pilates and in the future Physical Therapy to gymnasts.
