Keiko Imazumi-Tang, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, NCPT
Keiko Imazumi-Tang is a Bay Area native and grew up developing an appreciation of movement through playing a variety of sports including gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, cross country, and track & field. As a Physical Therapist and Pilates teacher, she enjoys being able to provide Physical Therapy, Pilates, wellness and injury prevention services to help keep people moving and participating in the sports they love. She earned her Masters and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees in 2011 from UCSF/SFSU’s Graduate Program in Physical Therapy. In 2015, she became a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strengthening and Conditioning Association. Inspired by the benefits of Pilates in rehabilitation, she was comprehensively trained in Pilates through Polestar Pilates in Alameda, California. She is recognized as a Polestar Rehabilitation Pilates Practitioner and Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (2019). She has several years of Physical Therapy and Pilates experience working with gymnasts and dancers. Dr. Imazumi-Tang has worked in hospital-based outpatient and private practice settings, backstage providing physical therapy for Book of Mormon, Les Miserables, and Come from Away National Tours, and provides injury prevention services for MTeam Taekwondo.
