The Patellar Tendon!
What is this structure called?
The Patellar tendon!
Here are some easy ways to reduce tightness and potential irritation in
your quadriceps and patellar tendon:
1. Quad (Quadriceps) Stretching
2. Quad Foam Rolling
Roll the roller up to your hip crease and down to just above the knee without rolling over your knee cap. For increased intensity, cross one leg
on top of the other.
3. Massaging the Patellar Tendon
This can be done both up-and-down and side-to-side to stretch the patellar tendon and increase its flexibility. The motion is like your rubbing off a tough stain
4. Kinesiotape for Knee Pain
Although this will not solve the cause or source of the pain, it may reduce pain to allow for better movement and participation in practice, rehearsal, or exercise.
