Pilates for Dancers Intensive

A 5-day summer intensive for competitive dancers ages 10-15

This intensive challenges dancers by strengthening the core in ways that elevate performance and deepen the foundation of their dance training.

Emphasis will be placed on building a strong foundation and strengthening the whole body with a goal of both performance improvement and injury prevention.

Each day will build upon the concepts of the previous day - challenging your muscles, range of motion, and core control.

The intensive is taught by Dr. Nicole Jackman - a Physical Therapist and Pilates instructor who has intimate knowledge about the demands of dance training.

Dates:

June 17th-21st @ 1:30 - 2:20 PM

  • Pilates helps dancers by building core control, improving awareness of body alignment, and increasing strength at your full range of motion in a safe, controlled way. Many dancers use it for cross-training, recovery, and overall performance longevity.

  • Due to our small class size of 8 dancers, we kindly ask that you cancel 7 days in advance to allow another dancer to the opportunity to join. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start of the intensive are not eligible for a refund.

To cancel, email info@onthemovephysio.com or cancel directly from the course booking site.

  • Each day of the workshop builds on the previous one, so we highly recommend attending all sessions to get the most out of the intensive. We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise; however, the workshop is paid for in full at registration, and we are unable to offer refunds for missed days, nor can we prorate the registration fee for anticipated missed days.

If you're unable to attend the full intensive, consider joining our ongoing Pilates for Dancers class, held Saturdays at 11:00 AM.
