The Metatarsophalangeal Joint

The Big Toe is comprised of two phalanges and, it has a special name - the Hallux. The joint at the base of the big toe is called the 1st Metatarsophalangeal (MTP) Joint. Have a close look at this much used joint and a couple of the more common issues that happen to this joint.
